Membership Information
Types of Membership
General Members
Handicraft entrepreneurs, producers, exporters, traders, artisans, etc. who are registered with any body of the Government of Nepal and who obtain membership of the association by submitting an application in accordance with the prescribed procedure shall be considered ordinary members.
Associate Members
Handicraft-related business firms, industries, companies, cooperatives, and associations registered with any body of the Government of Nepal shall be considered institutional members.
Life Members
All producers, exporters, traders, artisans as well as cooperatives those who pay the lump-sum amount determined by the Executive Committee shall become lifetime members.
Honorary Members
The Executive Committee may grant honorary membership to distinguished individuals or organizations. Honorary members shall not have voting rights and shall not be required to pay any fees. The tenure of such membership shall be as determined by the Executive Committee.

- Members can gain access to organized promotional campaigns, branding initiatives, exhibitions, and targeted market linkage activities that increase product visibility and open new domestic and international market opportunities.
- Members can participate in training programs, workshops, exposure visits, and mentorship initiatives designed to enhance technical skills, management capacity, quality standards, and overall competitiveness.
- Members can benefit from professionally designed communication strategies, media outreach, branding efforts, and digital promotion that strengthen collective identity and public recognition.
- Members can access structured networking platforms, business matchmaking events, trade fairs, and exhibitions that connect them with buyers, suppliers, development partners, and investors.
- Members are collectively represented in policy dialogues, stakeholder consultations, strategic partnerships, and negotiations to safeguard shared interests and ensure stronger bargaining power.
Procedure of Membership
To obtain membership of this association, the following procedure must be completed.
- Applicants must specify the type of membership being applied for—individual, firm, or institutional.
- Submit a duly filled and signed membership application form that includes the name of the individual or organization, nature of business, address, contact number, and the name and designation of the concerned person.
- The application must be accompanied by photocopies of the organization registration certificate, Permanent Account Number (PAN) certificate, and the citizenship certificate of the concerned person, along with one passport-size photograph and one auto-size photograph each. In the case of individual membership, a recommendation letter from the local authority must also be submitted.
- The membership application fee is NPR 500. Ordinary members are required to pay an annual renewal fee of NPR 500.
- For lifetime membership, an application fee of NPR 500 along with a one-time lifetime membership fee of NPR 25,000 must be paid in a lump sum.
