NHEAK has focused on building specific skills through structured training programs.
- One-day market research training for export promotion in Lalitpur on Poush 6, 2077 BS, supported by Trade and Export Promotion Centre; speaker: Sureshnath Gongal.
- Institutional and secretariat management training in Kathmandu on Baisakh 6, 2078 BS, with support from Nepal Handicraft Association, Bin Multipurpose Cooperative, and Nepal Handmade Paper Association.
Falicitations
Nheak has formally recognized and celebrated the achievements, milestones, or contributions of people in the handicraft sector by feliciting them with awards, honors, and financial support in our events and ceremonies.
- Silver repousse artist and trophy-maker Shri Chinekaji Tamrakar was honored in 2078 BS for his contribution to the Nepalese handicraft sector. He designed the country's highest award, Nepal Ratna in his workshop.
- Mr. Balkrishna Tuladhar, a prenominal sculptor who has contributed his entire life to making wonderful sculptures throughout Kathmandu, was honored with token of appreciation in 2079 BS.
- Senior Artist, Mr. Hari Prasad Sharma, whose artistic prowess has left an indelible mark on the canvas of creativity was falicitated with a token of appreciation in 2080 BS.
- Senior Artist Mr. Sanuman Shakya was confered the Certificate of Honor in year 2081 BS for his contribution towards the preservation and promotion of Nepali art. He is known for Nepali artworks such as statues, ceremonial city keys presented to foreign heads of state
- Senior craftsman Ms. Laxmi Maharjan was honored for her lifetime contributions to Nepalese handicrafts in 2082 BS. Her hard work and vision changed the life of her family and 60 other families in her village.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
NHEAK is guided by CSR policy that commits to ethical, social, and environmental responsibilities for the benefit of handicraft sector.
Nepal Handicraft Entrepreneur Association Kathmandu donated Rs 511,000/ Rs (Five Lakh Eleven Thousands) as a support to the commendable services performed by Rastriya Aawiskar Kendra, Kathmandu led by Dr. Mahabir Pun to Covid 19 patients.
